Chris Picks

Chris picks the songs and you listen and that’s what this young blog is all about. You can watch music videos, hear and share contemporary R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, Rock and Alternative music, and also has some Latin numbers here. The blogger is ChrisPix from Ontario, Canada and seems to be a big fan of contemporary music. Chris blog is one of the top rated music blogs in Blogtoplist, due to his contemporary music sharing and his exceptional taste in selecting the right combination of songs, moreover his "cakes is always hot and there's a bigger slice to share". The downside of this blog is that it doesn’t have solid written contents, usually 2 to 3 lines; probably it’s more of a music provider other than an intellectual blog. Most contemporary music blogs are almost alike and this blog is not exceptional. If you are into contemporary music providers, this is an exceptional place to visit.

Oxygen Chunks - OC

Oxygen Chunks, also known as OC have the latest songs and reviews to share. Most of its music’s are contemporary Pop, R&B, Rock, Alternative and Electronica. This blog is about 2+ years old and could be considered as reliable. It frequently provides reviews on new albums. There a number of bloggers who shares this blog, known as Shazza, Moho, Englishboila, Maquina, Nicolas Magnet and a couple more. They are a group of people who know their music niche, mostly contemporary American and British Pop. Like most contemporary music sites you got to visit them frequently, like everyday because most of their materials are time-limited and shared on a “first come first served” basis. One thing I like about this blog is the header banner. It looks really unique and artistic. Wonder who designed it? One of the down falls of this blog is probably “too many cooks spoil its soup”, but it’s surviving because of contemporary music.

Here are some of OC’s music.

Ali's Blog

This is Ali’s Blog which features various contemporary songs, artist and music videos mostly from the American pop. The blogger is Ali and he’s from New York US and seems to be well informed about cotemporary music. This blog has its own unique image, which is so professionaly designed and well presented but one of its down fall is the time span for its songs, music videos and write-up is limited, probably due to the high demands of its viewers. If you are keen in contemporary music, you ought to visit Ali’s blog, but I would recommend frequently, like you got to check it out everyday because most of his sample materials are presented and shared on a “first come first served” basis. You got to grab his cakes when its hot!!

Here are some of the Ali's music.

In a way, this place will benefit your site when people come here to listen to your music selections, moreover, you would be able to introduce and promote your site(s). Gradually people will start visiting your site(s). As for the others who neither have a blog nor a webpage to link-to, you can just create you own selection of songs by uploading it in the box and post it here. Wouldn't you love to be a blog DJ so others would be able to enjoy your music? Moreover, you can meet people and have new friends. There is no specific music category or niche here. You can upload any type of music, regardless its language, but your comments must be in English.

How it works

You must open a free account by registering with http://www.box.net/ or you can also directly download your music and subsequently open your account at http://www.box.net/widget (recommended). All it takes is just 5 simple steps.

2nd = Create a FREE BOX account (max 1GB / about 20+ MP3 files, depending on your file sizes, for 1 month). Post your email address and password. You manage your own box and MP3 files.

You can also paste the code into you own web-page and manage it from there, or you can manage it from here, after I have loaded and posted your HTML/Java code.
